eggs and cheese, eggs and cheese
A while ago we saw an ad on tv for some sort of amazing new dish sponge which promised to not stick to eggs or cheese when you're cleaning dishes with it. "Great!" we thought, "we cook with eggs and/or cheese all the time! And it's always super gross when egg bits and cheese goo start collecting on the scrubby side of the sponge. Let's pick us up some of these bad boys." And that's how we ended up with a 6-pack of Scotch-Brite Scrub Dots sponges.
We picked ours up at Local Grocery Store for about six bucks for the pack, which is maybe a few cents more expensive than the regular scrubby sponges.
We've gone through most of the pack by now, and we're not that impressed. Turns out the reason that cheese and eggs don't stick to the sponge is because the sponge doesn't really remove cheese and eggs from the pan. You have to scrub twice as long as with a regular sponge to get the same results. It's kind of a pain. We'll use up the rest of the pack, because why throw 'em out, but I doubt we'll be buying them again.
